    Does Jermain Taylor like boxing??

I've just read a question and answer interveiw in a back issue of boxing news (post Pavlick) where Taylor states that he has hardly ever watched boxing, never goes to fights and cannot name any of todays champions let alone of yesteryear, how the **** can you reach that level of a sport you dont love or have little interest in??

yeah i've heard loads of things about his disinterest in boxing. It might just be he's such a natural athlete he doesnt even have to study or like to sport to be world class at it. I wonder now since he's been ko'd by pavlik wether he's suddenly got intersted to see if he can learn anything more or get to love the sport.

Sadly, I bet a lot of pro boxers don't like boxing. I remember reading Cotto saying he didn't.

he's still not very skilled. He has maybe 2 or 3 punches that he can throw. Relies on his reflexes, handspeed and toughness.

It's called talent and good marketing. Eric ****erson hated football, he was one of the best to do it though. I think it was ****erson who was quoted as saying he disliked football.
