I only saw a little bit of it on the sopcast but i gta say povektin didnt look in shape at all i am not impressed.
Povetin may be a bit soft around the mid-section, but I think its really hard to say that the guy is not in shape. The guy threw a **** load of punches throughout the fight. He is only slightly above average in terms of skill, but I think think that there a very few heavyweights right now who match his work rate. I've never seen a fight on SopCast, but I suspect that the feed must be pretty choppy and slow.

Chambers lost the fight and has only him self to blame. The first 4 rounds i thought he outclassed povetkin but what happened to him he just stopped throwing the jabs stopped throwing combinations, If he had kept that up the whole fight he would have won. If eddie can sort that out he could be a very good heavyweight he has great defence and povetkin didn’t land that many clean shots maybe a loss on his record will give him the kick up the arse he needs. pros to povetkin he kept up the pace through out the fight and did enough to win.

i just don't understand why he stopped throwing punches.. at first i thought he was trying to make povetkin tired or something, but after that 4th or 5th round he never got back in action. if he'd went on with the same speed and accuracy as in the first rounds, he would probably have won. as of povetkin, i believe he's good, but not good enough to beat klitschko. he didn't really prove his skills in the fight against chambers either, since winning against someone that doesn't strike back, isn't really a form of art.

even he appeared more tired out of the two povetkin was the one bringing the fight to chambers. from rounds 5 to 12 i had povetkin winning because he was throwing and landing lots of shots but chambers wasnt throwing back much in return. he would throw one punch after povetkin would land three. that right there is not gonna win you the fight. i didnt understand why chambers didnt fight back. he had the better overall boxing skills and speed. because of povetkin fighting nonstop with everything he had i say he deserved to win.

I think Chambers broke his hand. I saw an awkward punch in 4 or 5 and I said to my friend that I bet he broke his hand. Watch it again and let me know what you guys think. May have been in the 4th or 5th..

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see this fight last night; can anyone give me a brief synopsis of the fight? Was either fighter ever hurt? How was the action?...

the first five rounds were dominated by chambers, great defense, great shots, really fast, hard ones. one caused povetkins eye to swell immediatly and from there on , chambers suddenly stopped throwing punches, still a good defense, povetkin had a hard time giving clean shots, and that kinda went on till 12th round. and overall i didn't see a lot of good combo's either. and no injuries worth naming, besides the one from povetkin.

It wasn't a bad fight overall, Povetkin won on sheer activity, Chambers was a lot faster and landed pretty much at will. He faded after the 5th round and didn't throw much, so Povetkin swept the 2nd half of the fight. I had it 8-4 rounds for Povetkin.

povetkin is a much better fighter than thompson. thompson is too slow. povetkin would beat him similiarly to the way he beat chambers. he'd out work thompson and thompson doesnt have the pop to keep pov at bay. thompson will be exposed the moment he fights a guy that can either fight at a brisk face or has descent power. wait and see
