They should have Povetkin fight Thompson and the winner fight Wlad/Ibragimov winner, counting it as a mandatory fight for both belts.

Good point. No one can score a fight accurately from a choppy sopcast broadcast.

I like that idea, and I think everyone would agree that would be the best thing to do.

and in the meantime, Wlad could try to unify.

That's why I found other things to do and waited for HBO. Sopcast is good only when there is no other option. I would have been pissed though if I had waited all day to watch Chagaev-Skelton. This was Ali-Frazier compared to that.

It'll never happen though, ABCs are too greedy to do that.

I think I would rather see this Povetkin guy fight the winner of Peter vs Maskaev more than Wlad/Ibragimov. It seems like a fight more on Povetkins level for now, and a good way to build the other fight.

What are you talking about? McGirt is an excellent trainer. McGirt isn't even Chambers' trainer, his father is. Buddy gave Chambers excellent guidance and repeatedly exhorted him to let his hands go and punch in combination. Chambers had the skill to do what BUddy asked of him, but not the conditioning or the will. The dude just has zero fire in his belly. He will never be champion at heavyweight...and the heavyweight division blows.
