It's a pretty low reward. Rahman would get a title shot, yes, but he would probably have to 'defend' that title shot against other WBC top ranked contenders until Maskaev, Peter and Vitali sort this WBC mess out.

Rahman flat out looked horrible in his fight with Zuri Lawrance.(they looked like two undispline fighters) I just hope Rahman realize he is coming to the end of his career and call it quits. He's had a decent career and IMO he doesnt need to keep fighting. He seems like he doesnt have the hunger he once had.

With that said I hope these guys just have a good fight. I dont have a clear favorite in this fight because I dont know how the other guy is(Virchis) and I dont think Rahman has that killer instinct anymore. Its a toss-up fight and I just hope the best man will win.
Here is one of the older fights of Virchis. Since then, he went on to defeat Vidoz and KO Hawkins, the same guy who went 10 rounds with Peter.

Looks like Gomez is going to take the fight, but he's trying to get it put off a few weeks until early April.

I really hope Virchis can pull it off. Perhaps Gomez *******-ravaged body has declined enough for him to make a mistake or two, and give Virchis a chance for the KO.

Gomez has my respect. This is a tough fight to take but with his boxing skills he should be able to win a decision over Virchis who doesn't throw enough to really outwork Gomez and Virchis doesn't quite have the boxing skills to hang with him either.

But if Gomez gets hit all that skill will go down the drain. I will look forward to this match-up.

Virchis has many flaws but he sure has a 1-punch KO power in both hands.

No problem, would be interesting to see what you think of him. I think he's underrated due to the unknown factor. Also, his style is almost identical to Vitali and I can't resist that ****.

I think gomez will out work virchis,, but,, if he gets lazy for just one second it could be lights out. this is assuming he'll be in shape and not coked out which wouldnt surprise me

he reminds me a lot of vitali. has the same heavy hands and size but doesnt have the upper body movement nor does he throw as many punches as vitali. I'd call him a poor mans vitali
