Why didn't Calzaghe ever fight Roy Jones Jr.?

Calzaghe came onto the world scene in 97' after defeating Chris Eubank for the Super Middleweight Championship.

Roy Jones Jnr was already in the light heavyweight division at this point and went on an 8 year run of fighting questionable opposition.

Jones Jnr then fought Tarver (Still at light heavyweight) and struggled to a points victory. He then fought him again and was knocked out.

Don't let peoples nationalistic views blind the facts.

Calzaghe was not willing to fight the p4p champion outside of Wales, so the fight was never made.

Its funny how Roy is screaming for a fight in Wales now....

It doesn't matter if a fight is in africa,america,uk there all fought in the same place and thats a ring!
