Why didn't Calzaghe ever fight Roy Jones Jr.?

Was the location of the fight problematic?

cause Calzaghe didn't really want the fight, unless you count calling out the undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world to move down to 168 to fight you in your backyard when you haven't done anything meaningful in your career a serious attempt to get the fight.

after jones beat ruiz, calzaghe also did an interview on *********.com where he admitted that he never really wanted to fight jones and that he was relieved that jones had moved up to heavyweight because he was the best fighter on the planet and joe was terrified to fight him.

he changed his tune after jones lost to tarver, but he did admit that.

It's funny how the truth sounds hateful but it's not.

It only sounds hateful because the Calzaghe nut huggers are OUT OF CONTROL. You can't say anything even remotely negative about Calzaghe's resume without having half the United Kingdom crying about all the excuses Cal-Z has for missing fights against:

          Sven Ottke
          Bernard Hopkins
          Roy Jones Jr.
          Glen Johnson
          Wink Wright
Jermain Taylor (Offered Cal-Z a fight in the states)
