Joe absolutely destroyed Omar Sheika, who was coming off a win over Johnson.

yes but johnson should have won that fight he was robbed, plus you have to remember that johnson was a different fighter back in those days he was much more of a boxer but was by 2004 a come forward fighter.

Yeah, they were due to fight in June 04' but JC got injured. The woods v GJ fight was a robbery imo, as much as I like CW he shouldnt have got the nod.

yes but most of them he should have won. like all the 3 fights he had with woods. boxrec can give you an idea of a fighter but he is a much better fighter than his record because of the amount of times he was robbed.

Calzaghe was injured and asked to have the fight postponed for six weeks but Johnson refused because Jones offered him a fight for more money. After he KO'd Jones he went after the biggest payday, Tarver.

At the time people were criticizing Joe for fighting another "nobody" and now he's accused of being scared of Johnson, but fought Lacy, Kessler and now Hopkins, but was afraid of the mighty Johnson...

No matter who Joe Calzaghe fights they end up "nobodies, past their prime, overrated, got jobbed by the ref" etc.

errr no he had a reoccurance of an injury that first happened back in his younger days, i cant remember if he was still am then or had turned pro but he was told then that the injury was so bad that he would never be able to box again so he has been fighting for a long time with a time bomb of a left hand that he hurts often IE before the lacy fight he hurt it but his dad pushed him into fighting. He was not scared he ****ed his hand up.

Fight was signed and Joke got injured like always. Johnson went on to fight RJJ and knock him out rather than wait for Joke to recover.
