I've been buying PPV's every month since OCT 07. I'll probably break my streak on SEPT 08

      Business as usual....

De la hoya is a very shrewd businessman..I have to give him that. We all know the rematch wont do the same staggering numbers as the first fight mainly b/c most insiders & casual fans alike werent treated to the slugfest they hoped to view. Not to mention, the majority of folks dont feel oscar can actually beat floyd jr no matter how many times they step in the ring. With this in mind, enter floyd sr who will do more than add fuel to the fire during the prefight hype & subsuquent 24/7 series. All the interviews & press conferences will be complete with the necessary colorful & animated quotes as well as the family feud angle that will undoubtedly be the controlling theme. There's a deep-rooted dislike among son/father/brother, and I feel floyd sr had quite a bit to do w/ the discord occuring amongst his fam. It takes alot to move a child to still love you (as a father) but not f!ck with you based on your character as a person. Sure, floyd sr taught his son how to box but I think he was more of a coach than a father and as an impressionable child coming up, you need that strong male figure to guide you thru certain areas of your youth. Plus, I have a feeling..he was abusive to floyd jr's mother as well.

As for the fight itself, I see it playing out much the same way as the first one w/ a slight twist. In my opinion, having floyd sr in the opposite corner (poppin constant amts of ****) will only serve to motivate both floyd & roger to be at their unparalleled best. The tune up fight should help oscar w/ his timing & conditioning..but he's simply not a better fighter than mayweather be it at 147, 154, or a catch weight. Hell, the first fight wasnt as close as the scorecards indicated b/c much of the agression exhibited by de la hoya wasnt effective. Many of those punches missed or simply hit gloves & elbows. Many underestimate the pop on floyd's punches but there's a reason why de la hoya couldnt sustain his earlier pressure and it had nuthin to do w/ fatigue. It was frustration along w/ those jabs, lead rights, & accurate countershots from money may. Hell, I'll be watching the soap opera unfold like millions of others will.

His dad isn't going to change the outcome but it will further tick Floyd off...Floyd is going to whip Oscar's tail remember this post.We ALL saw what happened when Hatton pulled the fighter out OF Floyd..Tell Oscar to watch out for that check hook!!! Especially if Oscar's tuneup is somebody who fights on EPSN' S Friday Night Fights!! Give me a break!!!!!!!

As do I, but Floyd shouldn't have said "oh man, it's gonna be a toe-to-toe battle, blah blah blah" ya know? Mayweather should just be straight up and say I'm gonna box this guys socks off and then he'll live up to his word and nobody can complain because then he really did do what he said he was gonna do.

You have to admit though, it's not so much the boxing in this fight that intrigues you. It's the build-up and hype surrounding the Mayweathers.

When Oscar blew the fight the first time around is when I gave up hope on Oscar. The fight was his and he tricked it off.

Also if you think Floyd is going to fall for Oscar "jab to get Floyd on the ropes, than throw a bull**** flurry", it's not going to happen. He'll tie Oscar up just like he did in the late rounds to avoid making it look like Oscar is scoring because in all actuality he really isn't.

So go fight Stevie Forbes, Oscar. And if you want fight Mayweather too.

This isn't about boxing, it's about a side-show............and your money.

I agree DLH can still do it. He's got the jab to do it. Well see I think it will be much better than the first one even though I didn't think it was that bad of a fight.
