There should be no argument that Hatton (a very good light Welterweight) would loose to Floyd (one of the best ever Welters) no matter who the referee was and where the fight took place. Its no disgrace to loose going up a division.
The only valid argument is 'did Hatton's mistakes (partially brought on by the reffing) contribute to him getting TKO'd rather than going the distance'. On that basis, yes, if he had kept his head he may well have gone the 12, BUT he would have lost by a clear UD.
