Hatton did let Mayweather get into his head, Ricky ran like a bull at Mayweather thinking he could take Floyd's punches all night. We all know how that turned out.

Calzaghe is too smart for that but Hopkins will frustrate him. It will be an ugly fight.

It was cool tho, its a pity they kept getting broken up. It would've been a classic.

I thought Hatton liked to punch in angles and is multi-dimensional like his trainer Billy Graham said?

I can't believe some of you loosers are still complaining about Cortez. He broke them up because Ricky kept hugging. What did you pay to see, a fight or Dancing w/ the Stars? GO BACK AND WATCH THE FIGHT AND COUNT THE NUMBER OF ARM BARS AND HEADLOCKS FROM RICKY!

If they had the same ref in Tszyu fight, Hatton would have 2 losses on his record. If any fight was refereed unfairly, it's that one.

PUGIL- With all due respect, I saw a different fight. I saw Cortez at times actually moving into the fighters with his arms already outstretched to break them apart, when it looked as if they were going to come together into a clinch. His refereeing is becoming worse fight by fight. I've watched him since he had hair, and first saw the deterioration when he began to be hailed as a "super-ref", with all kindas of articles written about him. He became over demonstrative in the ring to show how "fair" and watchful over the fighters' health-and-welfare he was. This was at a time when a couple of fighters had suffered bad injuries which the ref should have prevented, and there was a lot pf publicity(as there always is). So Cortez reacted to this. Now, today, he's about the worst ref to have in an IMPORTANT fight, especially one in which one of the boxers is a body puncher, or fights like Hatton. Hatton isn't a wrestler, as so many accuse him, he's a hit and clinch fighter, as were VERY MANY in the days gone by. Watch a Jack Dempsey fight, watch a Gene Tunney fight, (I just don't mean the Dempsey-Tunney fights) watch Barney Ross, or Jimmy McLarnin, indeed any of them. What they're doing is momentarily grappling, moving inside, holding for a moment, releasing, trying to get the INSIDE track, punching, then the opponent grabs, lets go, tries to get inside himself etc.etc. And on and on. By "inside track" I mean that both, or at least one of your fists, is inside the confinement of the opponent's 2 hands and arms, that HIS arms are OUTSIDE yours. you use your shoulders too. it's like trying to snuggle into a heavy blanket, (or get a good grip on your girlfriend). This leaves his body open for a punch, until he can deflect you by grabbing or shrugging your arms aspread to get inside himself. It's a science much out of use these days, but nevertheless, was always an accepted, indeed neccessary part of the art of boxing. It all changed with Muhammed Ali, who made sure he kept well away from ANY kind of infighting. Even Benny Leonard, Jimmy Slattery, or Billy Conn, and other renowned foot and arm speedsters, used the technique I mention. Watch Juan Diaz closely, he doesn't clinch much, but he tries to get the inside track, then mixes it up with roundarm punches......

I kinda of agree. That would have been one of the best moments in boxing history if after Hatton mooned Mayweather he told Joe Cortez to **** off and walked out of the ring.
