Gatti was out classed, mismatched and over the hill but at the same time Floyd landing a cheap shot during the fight and counted as a knockdown, I am not saying this changes the outcome of the fight but it did have an effect on Gatti!!!!

Eh, no. Prime for prime, Oscar knocks the **** out of Floyd. Floyd could barely beat a 34 year old Oscar.

Floyd was never a killer puncher at 140, but Oscar would have been.

Floyd > Oscar regardless of weight

Oscar's best shot was at 154 and he got embarrassed

Oscar was washed up, and he didn't get embarrassed, if anything Floyd embarrassed himself by letting DLH hang in there for a split decision!!!!

That's a pretty tough argument to make. Usually the best of an era (De La Hoya, Mosley, Vargas, Trinidad were last era) do fade, but not so that they can't effectively fight still. This is why the new era's best always has a close fight (but usually a win) over the last era's best.

I'm not sure if a prime De La Hoya would beat Mayweather. I'm not sure if a prime Mosley beats Miguel Cotto... It's tough argument to make, and I think you are making it harder by saying that Oscar knocks the **** out of Floyd.
