i watched vics most recent fight (TKO 12) against federico catumbay of the philipines who he stoped in 12 he looked much more patient and less wild in this fight, while still retaining alot of his power at the higher weight he probabaly couldve stoped him earlier but seemed determined not to be exposed by a clean , well timed shot again. i think he will be aptient and feel out gorres for the early rounds, then step it up in the mid rounds, unloading a few shots while still being cautious, probably landing a few big shots in round 8 9 or 10 and getting the KO-just my take on it

This is definitely a great maych up. Darchinyanh with great punching power, weak chin and poor defense against gorres who has Good technical skills, poor stamina and suspect chin.

Darchinyan's power is a big factor as it can change Gorres' gameplan. If he uses it to discourage Gorres from letting his hands go and on being defensive throughout the fight, then he might win by most likely by KO and a slim chancee of a UD.

However if Gorres can somehow use his skills, exploit Darchinyan's poor defense, and have enough stamina to avoid most of Darchinyan's bomb then it will likely be a UD win for him.

Exactly. Foreign Boxers don't get robbed in the Philippines.
In fact it's the other way around, , for example Gorres vs Montiel.Anyone who have seen that fight without them bias sunglasses on knows that Gorres clearly won that fight.
Darchi is right though,he needs a KO to win.
He can't outbox Gorres.

Darchinyan was exposed by Donaire. Anyone that gets beat by him now has no excuses other than they weren't good enough. I was waiting for a long time for someone to take advantage of his ragged style. If Gorres is the contender he is supposed to be he'll win handily.

Exactly I never liked Darchinyan always thought his fight game was bull****. I was glad he got exposed.

For Vic to win in the Philippines wil need a KO, is true Montiel got the decision, but this time there is a local judge call Sal Lagumbay that will give all the rounds to Gorres.. He had done it before in other bouts, too bias and unfair guy, wonder why he is s referee..You will see the scores if goes the distance, watch this guy score..

Salven Lagumbay is also a writer for ******************. If he turns in a crooked card, just hassle Mike Marley about it.

i hope darchinyan learned his lesson. his KO loss to donaire maybe an awakening. he should not underestimate his opponent. gorres may not be as good as donaire but if he is careless, he will pay the prize.
