and Forbes isnt even a 'showcase' type fighter. hes probebly going to be slick and annoying, because he hes experienced. He should have fought Gomez or some guy at 154 that he could have used as more or less a punching bag.

This fight will be on regular HBO. According to Oscar, it is his "gift to the fans"

You seriously think DLH would dare to fight Margarito? Margarito used to spar with DLH when he was coming up, so Oscar has already felt Margarito's power. There was a rumor that he knocked down DLH in sparring back in 1999. Oscar wants no part of the Tijuana Tornado.

The Oscar Dela Hoya con game continues...
I would not spend a dime of one of this hustler's fights.

DLH is a joke. He should just fight Hatton if he wants to fight jr. welters.

Does Stevie Even have a chance!!!

About two weeks ago, there was an article on BoxingScene about how Stevie Forbes will not fight above the 140lbs, when a potential match up between him and Cotto was offered... How quickly Stevie forgets what he said.....This fight will only be a televised sparring session... If Stevie got robbed by the judges against Bhops' little nephew, what makes poor little Stevie think he will have a chance when it's all but signed sealed and delivered that the Golden Boy will fight the Pretty Boy in September...Even if by some miracle Stevie puts on the performance of his life, he'll never get his hand raised in victory.....(Pls refer to the Felix Sturm Vs Golden Boy fight)....This is simply a payday for Stevie, Golden Boy knows Stevie cannot hurt a fly. Oscar says he wants to give the fans a free gift, well keep this gift.....this is bordering on WWE level.............Stop It Oscar, leave little Stevie alone!!! Pick on someone your own size.......... Forrest, Margarito or Winky, heck if he's looking for a slick boxer why not fight Corey Spinks...I'd even settle for Oscar fighting Judah at this point.....However the best guy out there that most mimmicks Mayweather's style is Mosley.....Hey Oscar as Shane if he could use another 3-4 million in his pocket!!!!

It was Andre Berto, not Cotto. He said that he was "done fighting prospects"

Nobody can be ripped for taking a DLH fight. Sorry, I don't care what they've said before. This is the boxing lotto.

And this is a free fight for anyone who has cable. It's going to be a HBO free preview weekend. Good deal all around, I say. Maybe they'll put a decent co-feature on.
