i could see how wrapping a hand wrong would lead to a harder glove... but it also cuts off circulation... to any of those thats done it... it could make for a harder punch, but i dont blame that on the reason he was a KO artist... he landed solid left hook to your jaw... regardless of glove...Comment

It doesnt cut off any circulation, its just more tape or tape touching skin.i could see how wrapping a hand wrong would lead to a harder glove... but it also cuts off circulation... to any of those thats done it... it could make for a harder punch, but i dont blame that on the reason he was a KO artist... he landed solid left hook to your jaw... regardless of glove...Comment

Trinidad is born to throw that punch. He swings with it, uses his whole body and has awesome speed when the punch is thrown. Fact is not many fighters could throw a punch that good and hard.Comment

Dude...it does cut off circulation. If you have stepped into the ring, or even only worked out in boxing recreationally, you would know that. You made that point earlier about boxing knowledge, but I'm sure you would have to agree with it in this case. And I'm not sure how more TAPE or tape touching SKIN causes a person to increase the pop in their punches.
In the Vargas fight, he connected perfectly on that first knockdown, right on the jawline where it meets the ear. Anybody would have gone down with that shot.
And I thought they had commission reps sign off on the wraps, thereby approving them as legal, unless that's all a sham.Comment

By the way that you have spoken, especially in previous posts, you manifest your lack of boxing knowledge, particularly about technical topics. You will continue to look like a dumbass as long as you continue to justify your POV with posts like this.If I know anything about boxing? LOL Why is that always everyone's comeback, usually from someone who never even stepped foot in a ring. Fact is it does contribute significantly. Having a greater than 80 percent KO record says what? NOTHING. So many ways to achieve a KO other than one punch anyway. I post an article and you nuthuggers still dispute stuff, thats from Hopkins old trainer himself, Bouie Fisher, if he didnt wrap wrong why would people say he did, you dont hear anyone claiming this on another fighter, but many have said it about Tito. Dont respond back until you can talk intelligently.
By the way... Ive been fighting since 2003 and a fan since the late 80's. 29 total fights.Comment
