    Denis Boytsov: video

Here's Denis Boytsov's fight last Saturday with Tommy Connelly:

Connelly had been in before with several highly ranked heavyweight such as Chagaev. Boytsov took him out easily and efficiently.

    I really like this guy!

Good speed, foot and body movement, seems like great power and skills..

Can't wait for him to step up to some better competition. I really think he has done well beating up tomato cans in the ring and has been ready for the next level for quite some time now.

Boytsov is 20-0 with 18 KOs.. come on.. isn't it time to step up???
Look at Povetkin.. 15 fights and he is already lined up for a title shot.

      Good ****.

I'd love to see Boytsov against Haye. It won't happen, but that would be the fight.

You can't compare him to Povetkin, who is older and had the legendary amateur career.

Boystov looked sharp, but he was clearly fighting a poorly conditioned stiff.

Boystov looks good, i think he would benefit from going to America and getting some good sparing in, I think the peek a boo style would suite him well compared to the stand up style they teach in Eastern Europe. He has got good potential.

I'm not really comparing them (or at least didn't mean to) I mean to say that he needs better oponents.. maybe names we heard.
Fight Etienne, Guinn, Austin, Ahunanya, Barrett.. I mean someone!

The reason I brought Povetkin into this is that in his 14 pro fights he really grew to be that top 10-15 HW. Boytsov is knocking people out in 1-2 rounds, doesn't make him better. He needs to step up to grow.

I don't think he is ready for the "top level" but he def. should be fighting level C-D fighters.

Boytsov finally put some muscles on him, he doesn't look like a kid anymore. His opponent was never in the fight but Boytsov did a great job. I think it's time for him to move up, he's got to fight the likes of Purrity or McCline next to get his ranking position up. I think he might do well, he is definitely getting better.

When I saw the other guy's big belly I knew how this fight would pan out.
