Ring Magazine already selected Floyd Mayweather Jr., but I'm sure some of you fans think a different man should have been selected. Was Ring Magazine influenced by Oscar's ownership of the magazine? In selecting the fighter of the year I think Risk, fight selection and performance should be taken into consideration. This is not intended to be a Floyd bashing thread.. just considering all the options, thoughts plse.

No you idiot. Oscar had nothing to do with it. In fact there was just an editorial in Ring questioning Oscar's decision to fight PBF. ******.Ring Magazine already selected Floyd Mayweather Jr., but I'm sure some of you fans think a different man should have been selected. I think you should've put Kessler in there... after all... he did show an enormous ammount of courage in even stepping into the ring with the Great Joe Calzaghe.Comment

No, I didn't mean you personally, I might "you" in a general sense as in boxing fans. Sorry if it came off as an attack, that was not my intention.
My guess is that most fans believe he was the boxer of the year even if they don’t like him.Comment
