    Fighter of the Year?

Ring Magazine already selected Floyd Mayweather Jr., but I'm sure some of you fans think a different man should have been selected. Was Ring Magazine influenced by Oscar's ownership of the magazine? In selecting the fighter of the year I think Risk, fight selection and performance should be taken into consideration. This is not intended to be a Floyd bashing thread.. just considering all the options, thoughts plse.

No you idiot. Oscar had nothing to do with it. In fact there was just an editorial in Ring questioning Oscar's decision to fight PBF. ******.

No matter what you think of him Mayweather was in fact the fighter of the year. I would put Pavlik in as the runner-up.

I think you should've put Kessler in there... after all... he did show an enormous ammount of courage in even stepping into the ring with the Great Joe Calzaghe.

Before 2007 ended I said Pavlik but after thinking about it a little more, I changed my mind to Mayweather.

No, I didn't mean you personally, I might "you" in a general sense as in boxing fans. Sorry if it came off as an attack, that was not my intention.

My guess is that most fans believe he was the boxer of the year even if they don’t like him.

Yep, I'd grudgingly give it to Floyd.
