I don't think Roy would have any problems with Hagler. He'd just slip all those hooking punches and throw uppercuts through his gaurd.

Hagler was far too 1 dimmensional to deal with Roy. And that's saying a lot because Hagler was not a 1D fighter. He actually could box.

Jones in his prime was a freak with good power, incredible speed, footwork, and his unorthodox style made him impossible to "read". Prime Jones was never hurt and overwhelmed fellow middleweights quite easily.

Still, I can't see Hagler losing in his prime at 160. I see him fighting in "Terminator" mode pressing the action, like Tarver did, but being more effective and aggressive due to his outstanding chin. Hagler by decision.

i agree Hagler is deffo winning a 15 rounder IMO ,The guy was able to walk though vurtually anything ,he was a Southpaw aswell i think that is a big factor in this fight Roy did not like fighting Southpaws IMO

I guess people here haven't seen a prime Hagler fight and don't probably know that Roy Jones was far from his best at 160.

I got Hagler by decision for all the reasons I stated in my previous post. I am young, but I watch a lot of boxing from different eras. Most young guys will choose Roy.

exactly people can say what they like about a prime Roy but fact is Glen Johnson prime or not did to Roy what Hagler was a master at walking u down & let his hands go with bad intentions & Hagler hit harder than Johnson IMO

He said a Prime Roy, so hypothetically speaking, since this IS a hypothetical question, I am assuming Roy is in his peak when it comes to physical skill.

Very good fight indeed, I will have to go with Jones becuase of Jones athletism and skill. Hagler had awsome power but I think a prime Roy is able to avoid that and able to outbox him for 12 rounds.

Roy sure was impressive but against who? In 160 he had no challengers and only Hopkins was an outstanding win. The 1993 version of Hopkins was nowhere near a prime, early to mid 80's Hagler.
