Calzaghe dont have the power to stop Roy.. its a good match.. 2 guys with very fast hands.. 2 guys who like to showboat.. Will bring in alot of money.. and will be a helllll of alot more exciting than watching him fight hopkins.. but hopkins is the easier fight.. stylistically, and more to gain from fighting hopkins.. so its easier to avoid Roy in this situation..

roy beat tito trinidad, a fighter who's been inactive for almost 3 years. no way he could do that to calzaghe.

He did not avoid them from Johnson what makes you think he will avoid them from Calzaghe?

He doesn't need to avoid them from Calzaghe, Calzaghe hits like my girfriend's 13 year old cousin. How the hell else can you explain hitting Jeff Lacy flush on the face over 1,000 times without knocking him out?

Lacy got a damn good chin, huh?

I mean the guy been hit real hard by most of his opponents but never really flinched.

Anyway, my money is on Calzaghe.

That is your classic bad match up for Roy(at this point of his career)

That explains why he was the first person to put Chris Eubank on the canvas. Wait nevermind, Eubank was ancient, all of 31. And Joe threw 1000 punches at Lacy, not landed. And with his hands being easily injured, he's had to totally adjust his game and become much less of a puncher than he used to be to extent his career, which would be over already otherwise.

I think Roy's going to look to try and back Calzaghe up with this new style which is similair to Winky Wright. Coming forward, but blocking shots and countering back with straight right hands, body shots, and eventualy some combinations.

Calzaghe will throw a lot of punches, but that doesnt mean he will be the one landing the cleaner shots

Roy's own opinion is that he'd have to knock Joe out (which no one has looked like doing - two 'flash knockdowns as Chad likes to call them lol) because (and I quote Roy here) 'Joe is too busy to get a decision against'

                  His words (paraphrased) not mine

No he does'nt. Just stop it

Pernell Whitaker hit like a girl. Sergio Mora hits like a girl. Paulie malignngnnaiani hits like a girl...Calzaghe has 32 knock outs.

this is a very good point... im not saying it would work, because i refuse to discredit joe as a fighter... but, this would most likely be close to the situation
