Your statement that you "hate those communist conks" is consistent with the opinions you express in this forum. It was obvious long before you posted it that you felt that way about them.

Eddie Chambers is a good fighter, he fights like a heavyweight Winky Wright with good defence and fast hands. The problem is that he is undersized (6,1 212lb) and he lacks power kind of like Chris Byrd.

I am expecting Povetkin vs Chambers to be an exciting fight with Povetkin eventually overwhelming Chambers and winning by late TKO.

      Alex Povetkin by late TKO

      Anybody wanna bet points???

Banks is very good, Steward obviously holds him in high regard and the Castillo fight was awesome. But he's not going to compete at HW; he's got some pop but I don't think he could hold up with the giants. He could be a solid CW contender or champ real soon though. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get an After Dark fight.

No, No. Tony Thompson is your last hope, watch out. Chambers will get beat, but Thompson is good.

That's pretty damn sad if Tony Thompson,Chris Arreola and Eddie Chambers are the Great American Hopes.

Chambers - will lose to Povetkin

Arreola - he has only fought tomato cans, he is nothing special IMO.

Thompson - he is too old and his best wins are over a shot Krasniqi, underacheiving Guinn, and Sultan's inferior cousin Timor Ibragimov...I'm not impressed.

hes fighting on the klitscho/ibragimov undercard... id much rather see jbanks on TV than mean joe greene, but its not gonna happen

i can see him getting a title shot against enzo should enzo beat haye as banks is highly ranked by the WBO.

i believe banks is as big and physical as haye, if people think haye can hold up at heavyweight than banks should get the same consideration. banks after all has not been stopped as a cruiser as haye was.

i dont think thats a fair way of assessing thompson.

hes old but hes never been stopped and may as well be considered undefeated since his only loss was in a 4 round affair 7 years ago after going pro without amateur background.

krasniqi wasnt "shot" until thompson beat the ever living **** out of him in an absolutely dominating performance... krasniqi did stop brian minto in his previous fight.

imo thompson is as accurate and throws as many or more punches as chambers.... plus thompson is 6'6 and left handed

his resume is weak becuase nobody is gonn fight tony unless they have to do so. he is a risky opponent with little reward

That's correct. Tony Thompson has had a difficult time finding people willing to fight him, as has Vladimir Virchis.

Thompson is a 6'5" southpaw with a long, powerful jab - although he isn't very fast, his boxing skills appear to be very good. He's not going to be an easy opponent for anyone.

Good post, Agreed on all points. No one is willing to fight guys like Thompson and Virchis so they fight each other now...
