He is not back, he took 4 rounds to warm up and could not finish off Tito a much smaller man. The old Roy Jones would have dispatched of him Early!
The knockouts have irreversibly damaged his physche as he is so apprehensive that even if a fighter is hurt he is far too cautious. The RJ I saw tonight would have no shot against Calzaghe who is a very busy fighter. His top output for a round was probably in the 50s and early on he was throwing 20-30 punches a round.
The only thing he hasn't lost is his speed.

I was disappointed in the fight because of his lack of a killer instinct (which he lost yrs. ago and his excessive showboating) But I didn't pay money to watch it and won some from some poor saps at work.

He was but he was inactive for 2 ****ing years? Do you ****ing get it? You claim to be an amateur boxer, how would you fight the first time out with 2 years of inactivity?

oh please. he should have been able to knock out a much smaller and rusty trinidad. the moment jones faces a puncher his size he's going to be flat on his back again

This fight was what it was.

A former heavyweight chammpion vs a former welterweight champion.

There would have been something wrong if roy didn't look good!

Please dont call it a comeback.

He looked good, but is nowhere back.

If Calzaghe goes and fights him insted of Hopkins I will be pissed. Jones showed nowhere near that he deserves a fight with Calzaghe first. It's not like he looked AMAZING.

I think he should go after Anthony Mudline after he wins the WBA LH title against Drews. Then he actually might get a title.

he did look good but no way in hell like the old roy jones, he can beat some guys but he will get beat by Calzaghe and Hopkins for sure

he was getting dominated in the first 5 rounds

He wasn't getting dominated at any point. There's a difference between getting 'dominated' and simply losing rounds because you're fighting lazily.

Either way I think Joe would beat him, but at least all the pressure is on Calzaghe to beat up an old man.

Roy Jones is not back until he beat a light heavyweight fighter. This was Tito's first fight at a higher weight. It might look good on his career that he beat Tito but he did not gain anything from it.

Respect to Roy. A verry nice performence. But i do see a different roy in the sence that he is taking less risks. He has to think smart now for what to do in the future. Dont let boxing retire him. And another thing... kick Don King. i hate that guy.
