My thoughts about the fight last night are as follows:

For Trinidad- He looked surprisingly good for such a layoff and for fighting the first time at this high a weight. He took some good shots for RJJ and was able to get up from the one real knockdown(the 2nd kdown was just balance).
He should not continue to fight at any weight above 160 lbs. Pavlik, Taylor, Wright, Bhop, RJJ are all TOO BIG for him. Tito would make valiant efforts against all of them but I would not bet on his behalf, and I am a huge fan of Tito's. Maybe Tito should just walk away????? I don't who else out there figures for a good opponent that he favored to win against????

For Jones- feel that the first half of the Trinidad fight revealed some weaknesses in this version of RJJ. Maybe Roy intended to fight this way against Tito?? If he fought this way against Calzaghe he would be way behind on the cards. Calzaghe is not as fast as Jones but he THROWS LOTS OF PUNCHES ACCURATELY. Jones wouldn't get away with this flurry here and there approach. I agree with Emanuel Steward. I "Give him a fair chance against Calzaghe". He also has a slightly better chance against Jermain Taylor for the same reason except Taylor gets confused easy and doesn't know how to seal the deal. Jones's best chance for success lies with Hopkins. Hopkins fights like an older fighter and is not constantly throwing punches. He also does not have a real powerful punch. Jones should either fight Hopkins or just get out of boxing. If he wishes to retire with dignity.
The worst fight for Jones would be Chad Dawson. Chad Dawson would hurt this version of Roy Jones. I don't believe Jones would make this fight(God, I hope not).

Jones looked ok. I might have had unrealistic hopes.

Roy vs Nard is the only fight that makes sense for both guys if either fight Calzaghe you all will be calling for their retirement. Sorry but last nights win does not automaticly mean Jones is back, it just means jones has enough left in him to decision a past his prime Jr Middleweight Tito Trinidad the question is does Roy have enough in him to deal with a guy like Calzaghe who will throw about 100 plus shots per round, and from Roys output last night my answer is hell no, Calzaghe will have Roys ass for breakfast and Hopkins for Lunch.

if this were true, Tito wouldnt have won any rounds, I think you need to come back down off of that high cloud your on, if Roy were really back he would be celebrating a knock out win over Tito not a UD. The only way you could argue Roy is back is that Roy is back in the win column against a well known household name nothing more, Roy has yet to mustar up a win over a well known name that is not out matched in size.
if he fights Calzaghe I promise you, you will beg for Roy to retire again.
