He doesnt want to fight again until September, which is why De La Hoya pushed the fight back that far.

He should beat a boxer puncher type of fighter as a tune-up. Joshua Clottey maybe, or Andre Berto, but you are right, he probably won't.

yeah, he could stand to make alot of money if he fights on nbc, cbs, abc or fox against a semi worthy oponent. it would be a good promotional tool and showcase for ppl who still dont' know who mayweather is and it might get them into boxing or atleast get them into buying the ppv for the DLH fight.

that would be nice but obviously too big for tv. but serioulsy, I think he should fight Collazo. a good fighter that mayweather can easily handle which would make him look dominating and add to the ppv buys for the DLH fight.

damn imagine him and de la hoya on the same card on free tv in march to promote the fight in september

Collazo is too slick...

He needs someone like Berto or Clottey to mimic De La Hoya's style a little better. More of a boxer-puncher than just a slickster.
