Who has Diaz beaten at 135 exactly besides an way past it Freitas who was fighting once a year prior to the fight and had already been known as a quitter against Corrales. Julio Diaz who got stopped by Castillo and stopped by a journeyman from Mexico? Angulo? Irwin? C'mon man.

Oh please, Julio fought a far closer-to-prime Castillo than Hatton did, and everyone ought to know that. And a near prime Castillo is a pretty damn good fighter anyway, and Julio(from the reports I read) won more rounds against Castillo than he did against Juan(0).
and Julio was doing great before he fought Juan. Yes, I know that Jesus Chavez's leg gave out in their fight, but up until then, Julio was basically dominating the fight anyway, and Jesus is no pushover.

Yes, Freitas quit against Corrales, but on the other hand he fought to the death with Barrios...weird guy. but the thing is, Corrales was being outboxed and held at bay by Freitas for a good majority of the fight before the knockout. Diaz more or less took over the fight after a few rounds. Freitas may not have been as good...but its a notable win. and he was looking good in that fight for a while.

the fact the Juan has had two unification bouts in just a year should be an example to all the other 'champions' out there. at the rate hes going, Juan is almost guarenteed to be a HOF fighter.

id definately go for hatton. i think that the fight would be entertaining whilst it lasted but ultimately hatton is still a monster at 140lbs and diaz actually looked a little flabby in his last fight against julio diaz at 135. am not knocking the lad coz i think hes a great fighter but i seriously think hatton would win and not just because of the weight, probably by a late tko or wide decision

Laugh away. Don't act like Hatton is some unstoppable force at 140. Floyd could beat him there, Cotto could beat him there. According to you Junior Witter could beat him there. But someone is a ****** for picking a much better boxer one division down beating him? Please.

Hatton is not a huge puncher, no way is he knocking Diaz out, and I seriously doubt he could win a decision against him. Plus Diaz is a very good inside fighter.

What is really funny is that you think Junior Witter would beat Hatton but you think Juan Diaz has no chance.

Whether Cotto or Floyd can beat Diaz (of course they can) is completely irrevelent to this discussion, as they can also smoke Hatton.
