    Juan Diaz's defence is underrated.

I was looking at the Compubox Plus/Minus Ratings for the last 5 fights of each fighter:

and Juan Diaz has the lowest opponent % against him of any fighter on the list besides Mayweather and only 1% above Floyd's at that. His +/- rating is second only to Floyd's as well, with the next closest boxer being far below him. Factor in that two of those opponents were current world champs (Acelino Freitas and Julio Diaz) and one of them was undefeated (27-0) Jose Miguel Cotto (Miguel's brother) and I'd say his defence is pretty underrated. Especially when I've seen people on here that say he gets hit a lot.

Diaz is a top 5 p4p fighter. Most underrated.

gavin what is with that avatar?!

If they fought I think Diaz would win by stoppage.

      I don't think he's underrated either. He's in alot of peoples top 5 p4p.

Well p4p ratings these days seem to be based mostly on accomplishments, but I'd say beating 3 current world champs in unifying a division is pretty decent for a 24 year old. He says he could easily lose weight (and looking at his midsection I agree) to make 130 or even 126. If he starts winning titles in other divisions, he won't be able to be ignored any longer.

It's a fight that was going to happen when Pac was looking to win a title in another division. He's since decided to go after the easier fight in David Diaz. It would have been one hell of a fight, for sure. If Juan continues to improve, which he should, I think he'll be a force to be reckoned with for the next 5 years or so at least.

Underrated in that most recognized lists like Ring Magazine's don't have him in their top 10.

Me too, but not till he's ready. If he picked up a belt in those two division's while he can, then he could move to 140 and pick up a 4th. He's not tall or big enough to be the top force at 147, imo. And it would be a shame to see someone with his talent only win belts in two divisions.

I agree most people dont notice he rushes in with his hands UP. So when he gets hit some may get through but most hit all arms and gloves

It suprised the heck out of me to see his Opponents connect % against him lower than Winky Wright's. Juan is a pressure fighter, but he either has his hands up or he's throwing blistering combinations and he may not be the hardest puncher, but he's not throwing love taps in there either.
