Ward v Gatti (II) Best round ever?

Just wanted to get your opinions guys. Don't know how I missed it but I downloaded the Gatti v Ward rematch and watched it last night. That 3rd round made my jaw hit the floor!

The commentators were saying the first fight was one of the best fights EVER (so, gonna have to go look for that now), but the third round of the rematch was amazing. How Ward stayed on his feet is beyond me. The man has a titanium chin, at one point Gatti was looking to the ref as if to say "please man, stop this fight, he ain't hitting back!" but still, Ward kept coming!

Has to be the best round I've ever seen. What's yours?

round 9 in the first fight was brutal...surprised the ref didn't stop it...that was something else

It doesn't get any better than gatti-ward 1 round 9. anywhere, ever

Yeah round 9 of the first fight is amazing. I love round ten of the third fight too, unreal emotion fromt he crowd. I'm reading Micky Ward's biography right now and its a must read for a fight freak. Ditto what was said about Hagler-Hearns. I also like De La Hoya-Quartey round 6 and Trinidad-Mayorga Round 1as other modern goodies

Man! I can't wait to see this fight now [ward gatti 1]. Also agree with Hagler Hearns comment, pure belter. Haven't seen those DLH and Trinidad fights, looks like I'm going for a hunt!

It's amazing they let either fight go without a stoppage. I've always wondered what the outcome of Castillo/Corrales 1 would have been with the same ref as Ward/Gatti had.

They are supposed to be making a movie biography style of Mickey Ward with Mark Walberg playing Ward. I wonder if they will accuratly potray how great that fight trilogy was?
