  • Horus said he didn't like it, at all.

    He said he understood it.

    I understand it too.

It's money driven. You have to be a ****** not to understand that.

    Skills has denounced it.

    Fistic Art denounced it.

There really are not very many people who want to see it, and everyone who has said that they want to see it have also said that they would rather see (and it should be) Mayweather fighting Cotto.

EVERYONE READ THIS POST now don't give me any bull**** about any Floyd fan being blind and bias. At least in the case of these particular users.

And ill post the **** Horus said. Like I said, its one thing to EXPLAIN why Floyd is taking a fight and its another to defend it.

It is defensible from Floyd's standpoint... the dude wants money.

Now, to say that this fight improves Floyd's stock or is the best available fight is ****ing ridiculous.

I do think we are going to be moved way down on the Floyd fan P4P list because of this.

See, I have not ONCE seen a thread/post by ANYONE here claiming that this fight would not make financial sense for Floyd. Have you? Have you EVER seen me saying something like that? See the argument here is that its a CRAP fight. Thats what the "floyd haters" are saying yet everyone seems to think the same but Horus keeps going crazy explaining something that everyone already knows so why keep pushing it other than to justify this move?

Then you need to tell your homie Horus for that. Like I said, its one thing to explain and its another to DEFEND AND JUSTIFY.

              • We all know why Floyd is doing this garbage and even his fans are unimpressed. However, there are technicalities that can justify a rematch, unfortunately.

I want to see Floyd fight Cotto and silence many who think he can't beat him. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. The boy is still one of the best to ever lace them. We may not like HIS decision but at the end of the night, as long as HE can sleep.........

A lot of the Floyd sucks threads do end in call outs to his fans to say something... in which case I say, hey, can you blame a guy for going for money? But his legacy is getting ****ed and he probably knows it.

But these technicalities only benefit Floyd and not his fans which is the message that is trying to be relayed and people like Horus dont understand. He claims he doesnt like this either but he never once mentioned that he would much rather see Cotto/Mayweather. As a matter of fact, he has said this

If Mayweather doesn't fight until late this year or untill 2009

Cotto has to fight somebody, so shouldn't we spend time focusing on more realistic options?
Would Cotto be a fool for fighting De La Hoya over Williams though?

I wonder how many Cotto fans would be chiming in about their boy not opting for the toughest possible fight in Paul Williams.

Cotto-Williams makes perfect sense. If it becomes evident that Oscar De La Hoya will not fight Cotto next, the Bobfather, Dynamite Dan Goossen and Al Haymon will need to figure out a way to work together
