HBO approves Gomez as Cotto's next apponent

Eh Cotto's comin of 2 bouts with 2 of the best fighters at WW. He can have this kind of fight, I mean who thinks Gomez would be the same if not tougher then a Collazo?

People have no reason to complain, cause you people know, that unlike "some" fighters that I won't name, unlike them...Cotto WILL get in the ring with who ever, he's already shown that he would. Comin into 2008 after havin the best 2007 out of all fighters, that merits him this kind of bout just as long as it sets up somthin big. And by big I mean Cotto ACTUALLY GETTING A F#$%ING SHOT at the guy that him and his people wanted, wich was Floyd.

Its interesting that you dont bring up that Mayweather chose to fight a fighter in Hatton that had only fought once at 147 and almost lost to a mediocre fighter instead of fighting a REAL 147 in Cotto. Mayfeather will continue to fly away from the real credible fighters.

Why isn't Cotto fighting Margo, Williams, Cintron, or Mosley again? All four of those fights are more intriguing than Cotto-Gomez. Then again, Cotto's resume is littered with Gomezes so it's not really a surprise.

Arum's plan is to have the Cotto vs Gomez fight and winner fights Margarito vs Cintron winner in July, winner taking on Williams by the end of the year.
I think Gomez will give Cotto a good fight, I dont like the way Arum mentions this fight as if it was a rest for Cotto.

cotto vs gomez is a much fairer fight than the good ol RJJ vs Richard Hall, Eric Lucas, Antoine Byrd, Tony Thornton matchups
