Taylor was on his way to another gift win he didnt earn. He was losing the fight, no question about it. But that is all he has to do to win the rematch is just survive and they will give it to him. But he wont. Kelly will be stronger and bigger and he knows he can take JT's punch. JT is gonna come in shook up from getting KOed for the first time in his career. It will be ugly.

Exactly. Look at Roy Jones. He was untouchable for how long, and all it took to bring him down was getting KOed. Every fight since then he was gun shy and afraid to get hit, so he lost what made him great. So he got KOed again. I have a feeling JT is gonna try and pressure right off the bat, but once he starts getting hit he will cover up. I predict a Pavlik win by vicious KO.Comment

Did you actually see the fight? Pavlik was pummeling Taylor all night long. Do you think that a fighter just gets broken down in an instant?
No, Pavlik broke Taylor down each and every round. It really didn't matter who was winning rounds, even though I feel Pavlik was, because Pavlik was consistently connecting with his horrendously destructive jab.
If Pavlik can find you with his jab, its game over. He has by far the hardest jab in the sport, and he sticks it out consistently, and works behind it. Don't forget about that right hand that comes behind it.
I knew Jermain was going to lose 30 seconds into the first round, I shouted ITS OVER PAVLIK IS LANDING HIS JAB! And I was right.
About round 2. Pavlik was not hurt, he got caught under the ear, it messes with your balance. He was not on ***** street, he was fully aware of what was going on, he was just having balance problems. He didn't even take a count. Afterwards, he continued on in an intelligent manner, although on unsteady legs.
If you watch the fight again, you will realize that Taylor was visibly stunned by nearly every Jab that Pavlik landed.
I give Taylor slim to no chance of winning this fight, and slim just walked out the door.Comment

I was a Taylor fan but then had to let em go! He seem'd to have lost his hunger and also felt he lost the fight aginst B-Hop 1st fight but after seeing how well he fought against Pavlik I'm a fan again! I like both Kelly and taylor and am going for Taylor on this one. I feel this time he will try to fight much more in the outside.Comment

youre exactly right, its all about the jab.
by the end of the fight pavlik was landing his jab straight down the middle of taylors face and snapping his head back like he was 3 weight classes bigger.
pavlik DOMINATED the first round and if hadnt gotten ****y in the second he would have knocked taylor out in the 4th or 5th.
i think pavliks uppercut is what makes him special, its what makes him one of the best "finishers" in the sport.
he lures guys into thinking jab jab, right, jab, jab, jab, right....
when he gets them hurt all of a sudden it coming from all angles and theres no defending it.Comment

thats exactly what happened, fight is HBO on demand and ive watched it in slow mo several times. taylor hits him with an elbow and pavlik sticks his chin out as if to say "thats some cheap ****" and got himself caught.
all the shots he took, even reeling across the ring it never looked like his legs were going at any pointComment
