As far as overall quality and technical skill, it would be Kessler vs. Calzaghe.

As far as the one I enjoyed the most, and one of the most brilliant performances by a super middleweight, Calzaghe vs. Lacy.

Do you realize that the Contender is a reality TV show in which Slyvester Stallone plays an integral part? DO you realize Peter Manfredo didn't even win the show? Do you realize that the reason no one know who Calzaghe is, is because he hasn't made the big fights he shoud've five years ago? Do you realize that Americans, as dumb as we are, can recognize a publicity stunt and offer the expected disdain towards it? Do you realize that in 10 years as champ Jeff Lacy gets named as one of Calzaghe's top opponents?

It sold 35,000 tickets at the Millenium Stadium and helped set up his mega fight with Kessler, without that fight and the exposure he got from the American audience the Joe Calzaghe - Mikkel Kessler fight may have never happened or if it did it wouldn't of been as succesfull as it was.

It was Benn V Eubank II the first fight was at middleweight for Benn's WBO title at the NEC in birmingham. Also Eubank V Watson was again for the middleweight title, the tragic ending you mention was Eubank V Watson II.

Just being a pedantic nob, we all know what you meant.

                  For quality, Calzaghe-Kessler.

                  For action, Bika-Codrington.

I hate to say it, both because it's an obvious one and because of the upshot, but Benn/McClellan was like nothing else I've ever seen unfolding right there in front of me. That fight was one of the defining sporting events of my teens.. lives vivid in the mind.
