I think Cotto will definitely win the fight, but I don't know if he can stop Gomez....Gomez has a very good chin and a lot of heart...If Cotto stops Gomez it will be from a body punch or an accumulation of punches...It all depends on how well Gomez can take Cotto's brutal body attack.

      Cotto WILL NOT STOP GOMEZ!!!

Cotto will win an 9 to 3 UD over Gomez (117-111)
Everybody thinks b/c Gomez is a "contender" that Cotto is going to blow him over! Truth is Gomez has less experience, but has been in with much bigger guys than Cotto, & also has a pretty good chin & heart.

There will be no knockdowns in this fight...matter of fact I don't think it's going to be that much sustained action! More sticking & moving than anything, b/c both fighters will be aware of each other's power & will both box cautiously! When the crowd stars to boo, they will open a little bit, but not to much to give an edge to the opponent...Watch & See, the real fight is going to be Cintron & Margarito!

I dont think he can. Maby Cotto gets stopped in 9 or 10. But theirs no way Cotto lets this dude go 12.

gomez is an even fighter,he's not exceptional at one particular thing, but he does everything well,i agree cotto needs to knock him out,for the sake of fighting you know who but i won't underestimate gomez.

Strong possibility he knocks him out late. I wouldnt bet money on it.

People forget his fights against D level Super Middleweights at 160 pounds were 5 round fights.

                  6-7 rounds.

Gomez may have fought SMW & Middleweights...but WTF are those guys doing now? Manfredo was a bum then and is a bum now.

I think Gomez will come in and try to get busy early on. But once he feels Cotto's left hook to the body Gomez will break down from there.
