Tyson/Holyfield is so saddening. It takes the cake.

In my opinion, it has to be De La Hoya/Mayweather 2. First, the only reason Cotto/Gomez is happening is the fact that Mayweather won't fight Cotto.

So now, instead of just being the boring matchup that it is, it stops a great fight from happening, a.k.a. Cotto fighting Mayweather OR De La hoya. Oscar once said that DLH/Mayweather 1 would regenerate boxing because it would create a standard for great match ups, now in a way, contradicts itself.

NOW, I'd be about 50% less pissed if the fight would take place May 3rd, but the fact that it takes place in late September? Its really ridiculous. What that means is, realistically, Cotto won't fight an elite fighter, or a fight won't be announced, for 9-12 months! It looks like 2007 was just a fluke, 2008 should be better than last year, doesn't look it.

It's all about the money, theyre all just trying to prolong their worth. If Cotto beat DLH, there would be no DLH Mayweather rematch, and the rematch is a much less risky fight for both guys. Mayweather will just outbox DLH the 12 rounds.

That is a tough one but I say Tyson-Holyfield. Why the **** are these two guys fighting for a 3rd time.

Quick question: Why are people saying Floyd is ducking Cotto when he is making at least double the amount facing Oscar again?

                  Wow......
Basically Mayweather and De La Hoya Control's Cotto's Career....

                  Cotto could of fought:

                  Cotto vs. Margarito...

Cotto vs. Judah again (without the lowblows)

                  Cotto vs. Forrest

                  Cotto vs. Mayorga

Cotto vs. Mosely 2 (Close fight)

                  Cotto vs. Winky Wright

                  Cotto vs. Corey Spinks

                  Cotto vs. Joshua Clottey

ALL THOSE FIGHTS ARE BETTER THAN Gomez

een thoguh gatti was shot, gomez beat him didnt he? maybe that is why they wanted to have him as a tune up. he's beaten a famous guy and also appeared on a show. cotto aint well known in terms of sportsmen in the uk at all. dunno about america. infact gomez's face would be more recognsied than cotto's.

its sad but tv shows do get people noticed
