There is something I dont get about the PBF DLH fight, and I feel its an important point that needs to be well made.

When Mayweather fought Castillo for the first time, it was a close fight, with an arguement for both fighters winning. There was a rematch, and Mayweather won it convincingly.

The DLH parallels the first Castillo fight in almost every way, DLH was the champion and so was Castillo, and both fights were very close indeed. I personally believe that Castillo beat Mayweather but DLH didnt, but my opinion doesnt really matter, fact is both fights were very close.

The point I'm making is this: When Mayweather gave Castillo a rematch, there wasnt much of a fuss, yet EXACTLY the same situation with DLH, and its a disgrace?

The Castillo fight, according to the punchstat numbers and most everyone ringside, Castillo won the fight, even though the judges scores were someone lopsided in favour of Mayweather. Floyd kept that title and went on to defend it. The DLH fight was not that close, in spite of one judge who wasn't wearing his glasses that day apparantly, and most everyone at ringside agreed. Floyd has since thrown that belt in the garbage, so a rematch is completely pointless. DLH is just keeping possible unification bouts from happening or Floyd even defending his belt against a legitimate WW top ranked contender.

Really suprised so many people are saying Floyd/DLH II is such a disgrace. It was a competetive fight.......I know it's just a farce to make money but I don't think it's a bad fight or matchup.

          Tyson/Holy is a complete joke......

Cott/Gomez is going to be alot better fight than most people are thinking.....I actually think it's a good fight and besides Cotto deserves a break if thats what you want to call it after a busy year last year against TOP level WWs.....unlike our little buddy mentioned in the first paragraph.....And yes Judah is a top level WW......

I'm shocked about Cotto.

DLH and Mayweather are the biggest 2 names in the sport.

Tyson and Holyfield are probably right behind them.
Cotto vs Gomez will have more action than Oscar vs Floyd 2, so I don't know why people are beefin about that. You can already see the drama starting to begin with the whole Floyd Sr involvement in the training of De La Hoya for PBF. It's such a pointless fight.

Holyfield vs Tyson isn't happening. Tyson stated he doesn't even train nor watch boxing much anymore.

i voted Tyson/Holyfield III by the way. if that happens, its almost as if it was a sign that boxing is scraping the bottom of the barrel to try to make a come back.

Cotto vs. Gomez is not Cotto's fault..

That's the fault of Floyd Mayweather, Top Rank, and Oscar De La Hoya.

Oscar and Floyd both deserve the award - it's nice there's an option to vote for both of them.
