Has Hopkins ever defeated a world-class fighter his own size?

It seems all Hopkins biggest wins have been over smaller men, welterweights like Trinidad and De La Hoya.

When he's faced world-class opponents his own size - such as Roy Jones Jr and Jermain Taylor - he's lost!

Tarver was bigger than Hopkins but I think he counts as a world-class fighter.

I think the only one is Tarver but judging from Tarver's recent performances, I'd say he was past it when they fought or he just wasn't very good to begin with.

Tarver is not really a world-class fighter. Neither is Johnson, with all his losses.

Tarver is absolutely world class. Are you confusing world class with ELITE ?

Johnson was NOT at his best when he fought Hopkins.
And Tarver was far from being in tip top condition either.
At 37 yrs old and Playing Film star?
Let's see a wee bit of sense here eh?
