Addison, its not happening. Cotto is headed to fight Gomez/Clottey, then Margarito ( when he retires Zab ) and then for a Cintron at the end of the year.

MOsley is not in his plans.

April should give Mosley plenty of time to prepare. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Mosley-Cintron, hmmmm, I like it. When you think about it too, neither of those guys have an opponent to face right now unless Cintron really is to face Clottey, but my confusion is justifiable I'd say since Cintron is calling out everyone and their dog which would lead me to believe he has nothing lined up. Plus if you read the PBF-DLH II thread, they hinted Mosley might be looking for a May 3rd date to fight which would give Cintron's hand plenty of time to heal. This fight would be more exciting to me than Mayweather-DeLaHoya II. I wonder if this matchup has been thought about by either camp or their promotors?

Mosley was supposed to fight Cintron before Collazo I think. No reason why it can't happen again, it should be a pretty exciting fight.

Mosley is going to smash and expose Cintron's overrated ass.

Mosley Cintron looks like the most plausible match up for Shane. He could get his name back into the thick of things.

Has the Judah/Margarito fight been signed?

That's what I'm thinking. I like both guys, but I'd want Mosley to win. He strikes me as a classic.

“2007 was by far my best year,” reflects Cotto. “The Shane Mosley fight was my best performance ever. I respect Mosley very much because he was a gentleman before and after the fight. I’m available to fight him again, but I see him the same as any future opponent. I don’t know if I’d fight him any differently or not. I’d have to see what he does.”

“I’m not just looking ahead to get a fight with Oscar de la Hoya,” continued Cotto, “I’m ready to keep fighting any big named opponents that are willing to fight me, and I mean it when I say it really doesn’t matter who. I always do what I have to do. I’ve never said no to any (proposed) opponent. Business is business.”
Toincito, fighting Mosley again is exactly the right move in terms of profile, finances.. Basically, risk vs. reward. Why the **** would he fight Gomez or Clottey if he can get Mosley? Miguel has mentioned wanting to fight Mayweather, De La Hoya, Hatton, and Mosley. BIG name opponents.

I'm not saying it's impossible or unlikely he will go forward with Gomez - but Shane has just now presented himself, so I say there's a very good possibilty it happens. We have to put these things in the proper order.

As I've said before; even if Cotto lost to Mosley in a rematch (which is more doubtful now than it was in November), Miguel can get a third fight without losing face. Losing to someone like Margarito or Clottey would be bad. Business is business.
