Kessler is too strong and too skilled for Pavlik IMO.

I can see this being Kelly's next fight when he moves to SMW, win or loose against Taylor.
He's gonna defend his Middle weight belts for atleast a year..

secondly Pavlik has a really a big advantage here in the area of punching power. Repeating my previous post, Kessler is not a knockout puncher, he's a good puncher and he can definitely stop you but it's going to be from an accumulation of punishment and I question his ability to finish guys after the Andrade fight.
Taylor knocked Pavlik down! Kessler although I agree has not really got knockout power (against other world class SMW's), I would say has a bigger punch than Jermaine.

Calz has got a great chin but when Kessler caught him with that uppecut for a minute I though he was out of there, Calz really struggled to get back on track for the rest of the round, that as far as I'm concerned is enough power to knock Pavlik down.

He will catch Pavlik all night long because of his accuracy and hand speed; technically he is very good boxer, was just made to look lazy and sluggish by a faster Calz.

I would pick Kessler by Knockout. His punches are too hard and accurate for Pavlik to deal with. Pavlik looks wide open when he loops these unorthodox shots in. Kessler's fast, accuratr straight punches would spell the end for Kelly pretty early.

Well that's a possiblity that he'll catch Pavlik all night long, he is a good counterpuncher but I still think there would be a decent chance Pavlik could dictate the fight with his workrate, jab, and if it turns into a shootout I really would like Pavlik's chances, If Kessler started opening up.

Taylor is no slouch in the area of handspeed either and that was one of the things that enabled him to score that knockdown which only came after a good volley of punches.

Pavlik has never gone 12 rounds, surely that would favour Kessler too?

Man I like Kessler but this poll is a joke, even Sugar Ray Robinson will not get that many votes against Pavlik.

Pavlik throws straight hard shots in combinations, it would be a good fight. He took major punishment from Taylor, he had a lapse in defense and Taylor put on a serious combination. Pavlik's not gonna open up like that again.

Pavlik is an extremely difficult match for Kessler. I think Kessler takes a very comfortable decision

Gunny, you know if more Americans vote later it will even out. Morning polls always get weighted to European fighters
