It is impressive that Jones was hitting Pazienze so hard/effective that Pazienza was backing up faster than the referee could run to stop it.

    That whole video is impressive.

How many times was Richard Hall hurt in their fight?

overall i agree, roy in hi sprime was faster than floyd as far as handspeed, but then again it's hard to tell. at 140, i have to say floyd was in hi sprime as far as speed and power, which is why i'll compare this weight to roy;s prime weight at 168, and although they both were superfast at those weights with great power, roy was more dominant imo wit his handspeed, but that's all he has over floyd ever. floyd at 140 was much faster overall than roy at any wieght. this includes defense, footmovement, especially counterpunching, fighting off of the ropes. now, roy was much more powerful than floyd imo at any weight, and his handspeed was faster than floyd's especially when it came to throwing combinations, except when floyd was at 130. floyd was arguably the fastest 130 pound fighter overall i have ever seen. his movement was quick as ****. his defense and counter punching had really no equal, and combinations were the fastest with accuracy i have ever seen out of any fighter at that weight in history and damn sure top 5 all time out of any fighter in history. roy may have him on handspeed but floyd has him over everything else overall.

now, to really show a comparison, somebody needs to post a mayweather highlight where he lands fast as **** combos on fighters also. i mean, find the fight where he landed a vicious left hook counter on some spanish dude and knocked him clearly out. post some mayweather videos to really compare handspeed and overall quickness.

sure you could. i am not denying that roy was fast at 168, but his footwork was not faster than floyd's at 130-140, and if i knew how to post a video on this forum, i'd show you. and as far as roy being as fast as someone 45 pounds lighter than him, that is pretty irrelevant considering roy's natural weight when first entering boxing. i mean, that's like comparing floyd to a flyweight, seeing how fast floyd was at 130 pounds. watch the fight with him and justin jukko. watch how fast he was in that fight. watch the fight with him and tony pep, how fast he was and how fast his footwork was. roy hasn't touched floyd's footwork ever.

that's good you have his whole career but i also have roy's whole career including olympic fights that my dad recorded when he was first starting to become a trainer, so i have his whole career also. i also have floyd's whole career and i have watched many of their fights in depth, and have made comparisons between them many times, and roy at 168 was not faster than floyd overall at 130-140 at any time. a better comparison to floyd's footwork would have to be sugar ray leonard imo, because their styles were similar when it came to foot placment and how fast they moved their feet, and i'm not talking about ray's little shuffle, i'm talking about movement overall.

A highlight of Mayweather's combination punching would be less than a minute. He is fast, but he is not an excellent combination puncher.

I can't even think of what KO you are talking about... Maybe Carlos Gerena. The only other one that I can think of since he won his first title would be Diego Corrales.

roy looks alot faster fighting the guys he's fighting. he's alot faster than the guys in his weight class. floyd on the other hand is fighting smaller, faster guys. im a huge jones fan but i disagree. plus its hard to judge watching them on tape. put them in the ring with each other, floyd beats roy to the punch
