Marco Antonio Barrera To Return Against Fana?

Rumblings are going around the industry over a possible return to the ring by Marco Antonio Barrera (63-6, 42KOs). Some of the rumblings were first revealed by boxing scribe Steve Kim, but after following up with more than one writer working the beat in Mexico, the rumors have circulated there as well. [details]

Barrerea deserves the chance to go out with a farewell bout. I hope this is televised and not on ppv.

Barrera still has enough to beat fana again, then he could retire as a champion

I know Barrera is past it, but he could fight someone a light better than Fana, since he destroyed him a few years ago. It would be very lame if he fought Fana.

His purpose is probably a belt so Fana would be a logical opponent. He has nothing to prove to us from all the wars he's been through....taking up a level up over Fana is ridiculous.

Fana at least has to be considered a good fighter since he was able to bounce back and win a title.
