After having just watched Calzaghe fight...

...wow. I don't think I've ever seen someone undefeated for that long look so...lacking in talent. Is this guy for real? I can't believe that he'd be a favorite against Hopkins. The Roy Jones that fought against Hanshaw would beat this guy. The hell. WTF.

I expected a lot more watching him. I mean, just wow. I'd be 100% certain in putting my life savings on Kelly Pavlik beating Calzaghe at 168.

You must be joking. You don't even know what credibility is, obviously. In my opinion Calzaghe looks like a guy that just flails away, and can't have fought anyone that is good because when he throws combinations he doesn't protect himself at all and his punches look more like slaps than anything. His defence is shoddy and his offence is just "punch until you can't punch anymore". Dunno how it managed to work for him this long, but I promise if he faced RJJ he would be made into a fool.

Look pal , I'm trying to be friendly here.
You are making a twat of yoursel.
Wee Joe is every fighters nightmare.
Speed , Skill , Stamina and Heart.
        Southpaw punching from all angles.
And afore the wee man had damaged his hands so much he had decent KO power as well.
I suggest you pop your contact lenses back in and try watching again.

its true, you sound like a child. Now if you want to hate on Cal,then you should stick to the...he hasnt faced enough worldclasscomp..asthere is abit of truth to it. But to say the guy has no talent, is ******ed. He's slick, and if the best trainers in the world think it,if PBF thinks he is the 'truth' in his own words, then why would one viewing of him fight by some ******ed little child on boxing scene saying he has no talent carry any weight?

But why stick to the resume argument when you can talk **** on his ability?!?

Joe Calzaghe is lacking in certain areas... like technical skill.

                  Does it matter? **** no.

He makes up for it. He throws a ton of punches that overwhelms his opponent.

It piles up points to win him rounds, and serves as his defense too.

Thread starter... shutup. You are the guy who said Hopkins should be P4P #1. And now you say Calzaghe sucks.

It's obvious day at camp ******, and you are still struggling to keep up.

Calzaghe was VERY unimpressive in the Salem, Veit, Ashira, Bika, Manfredo and Kessler fights. But against Jeff Lacy - albeit Jeff Lacy, who walked into the MEN Arena holding his girlfriend's hand - he showed off his speed punching and combination ability and natural talent on the backfoot, as Lacy - very visibly tight around the shoulders at the weigh-in - jumped in head-first all night.

His claim to fame is still knocking down Eubank in 15 seconds with a shot that Chris didn't see coming.
