    Ricky Hatton vs Floyd Mayweather

After re watching this fight again I really think Hatton did a lot better than most people give him credit for. He had Joe Cortez against him aswelll as Mayweather yet he still gave Mayweather one of his hardest fights ever. Hatton is said to be a bad boxer but I think his upper body movement and head movement says otherwise, he is still P4P imo.

You cease to amaze me! Did you notice that when cortaz let the action go on the inside mayweather was getting the better of it. As for giving him one of his hardest fights ever!!! You need to go back and watch a few more of Floyds fights, it was actually one of his easiest in quite a while my boy

ive watched it 4 - 5 times... and saw maybe 5 punches a round land clean on floyd... everything else was blocked or glancing off of him... your not aloud to hold... ricky rushed in and put his arm around floyd, thats means for a break up... and they were warned before the fight about it... if ricky kept both his hands in front of him and worked the inside it would be different.. but when he went in.. his right arm always came around foyds waist and thats why cortez broke them up...

on a further note... cortez broke them up... and THEN ricky came walking in with his hands low, and got left hooked to the jaw.... THAT was not cortez's fault... it was rickys...

i like ricky hatton... and to be honest id rather spend the day with him than floyd mayweather jr.... but his downfall was, he was so focused on what and how to hit floyd, he forget about what happens when floyd tries to hit him

Mayweather was beating Hatton at his own game, so how was Cortez against Hatton? Hatton got his butt whooped, plain and simple.

When I watched the fight live I thought it was a lot closer than it actually was. After re-watching it a couple times since then, I could see that Mayweather was clearly kicking his ass, almost every round. A lot of the action by Hatton was deceiving, because of the pro-Hatton crowd cheering at every punch he threw (kinda like the ODH/Mayweather fight). It made it seem like Hatton was doing more than he actually was.

Hatton should have created a lil more space between them when he went inside, maybe that would have helped him out a lil more, maybe not.

Regardless, Hatton didn't do much at all that impressed me, but then again, it was against the p4p king.

          (awaits bad karma from naz-fan)

It wasn't easier than Baldomir, Gatti or Mitchell and was probably about as difficult as Judah was with the obvious difference being that Judah didn't get stopped.

Are the replies telling you something about your boxing knowledge?

Try watching the fights. Judah didn't show up for about seven rounds of the fight so he would have been as well getting knocked out.

'Oh say Can You see... Greetings fight fans. The Patriot's here to lend a little bit of analysis to the December 8th showdown between the Midget from Manchester and Patriot Floyd. I watched this fight while eating a 64 ounce Porterhouse steak and drinking from a flowing chalice of Samuel Adams lager. Suprisingly enough the Manchester Midget did quite well, before getting his teeth knocked straight. By quite well... I mean to say he landed enough punches where I needed both hands to count them. It was truly tragic, and somewhat ironic, watching the Union Jackasses carry their pathetic hero out of our country much like their ancestors were forced to carry their crimson-cloaked bretheren out two centuries ago. Until next time... keep streaming gallantly Patriots.

                    God Bless America.
