Dude, Tarver was good, but he has just lost it somewhere. I wish he would fight again like he did against Glen Johnson. I thought he kicked ass both times (and got a ****ty decision the first time). His post-fight interview after that one was great too.

There are a lot of questions still remaining Jeff Lacy's ability to still perform at the elite level and if he is still a top contender or a fading star. He needs to answer that question by fighter Tarver. This is business and he's putting his emotions ahead of what makes economic and business sense. Gary Shaw is one of the top promoters in the business. So avoiding him may prove to be difficult. If Lacy won't fight Tarver, he should seriously consider retirement. Jeff should be hungry to get back to the top and going thru Gary Shaw is probably the only way he will be able to do it.

thank god lacy isn't fighting tarver. I want lacy to loose some of that muscle and fight bums so he can ko them, then maybe after 1 or 2 easy fights then get in with tarver in november or december.

I saw Jeff lacy vs Joe Calzaghe and I can say with complete certainty, the last thing Lacy is afraid of is getting a beating. He's never gonna get beat as bad as he did in that fight so wtf is there to be scared of. Besides, he's a professional boxer for god's sake. I doubt he hides under his bed in fear of Antonio Tarver of all people.

I'm just going to assume that the reason he gave for not taking the fight is the real reason.
