At junior lightweight, he was spectacular, cleaning out the division in dominate fashion. At lightweight, he wasn't as dominate, but at least he did take on the best possible opponent(Jose Luis Castillo). From 140 147 and 154lbs he's been too selective about who he fights. People want to say he has wins over Oscar and Hatton, but Oscar has never been the same fighter he once was since the lost to Tito and Hatton never belonged at 147lbs. Now when Cotto beat the hell out of Zab (and Zab never has had his ass kicked like that before) people say Cotto did not fight the same Zab PbF did. I wonder what people will say if Cotto fights Oscar and knocks him out, beats him up like he did Zab. Are people going to say that PBF fought a better Oscar than Cotto did. Cotto will face better challenges at WW than PBF did, but for some reason people love this guy and want to call him the "GREATEST OF ALL TIME" Not too long ago they said the same thing about RJJ until Tarver whipped that ass and showed the world that even "SUPERMAN" can be beat.

Cotto beat Zab when he hadnt won a fight in over 2 years and was just coming off of a year long suspension.

Now, you also better check the resume when you talk about the age. Floyd is way ahead of the game when it comes to age. Floyd is like the guys in the 80's. Cotto, Williams, and all these other guys didnt start fighting top guys until late in there career. Floyd was fighting a undefeated killer in Chico when he was just 23 and had a ton of big fights around that time. All that was done way younger then when Cotto started having tough fights. People make Williams sound like this young guy who is fighting everyone. Dude was 26 when he started doing stuff. Floyd was 23 and having top fights back to back

A win over Baldomir is meaningless. The man was a lineal mistake. Lineal only means he upset Zab Judah, nothing more and nothing less; a tune-up gone wrong. The fact that anyone even attempt to claim Baldomir was a great achievement at WW is laughable. Miguel Cotto fought an undefeated Quintana, and 3 current top 10 rated welterweights. 3 guys that are still top 10 rated after being beaten, unlike Baldobum.

Cotto's resume will never be as impressive as Floyd's. He will have a loss to Floyd by the time it is completed as well.

Hear that Miguel? Never. Yeah. Cotto shouldn't even be allowed to fight. Just give him an L already, right?

Mayweather doesn't need to fight anymore, right? He's beaten everyone. Greatest of all-time. PBF. Money May. Bla Blah Blah....

First of all, who gives a **** about an 0? I know: The same guys who say he doesn't have to fight this guy, he doesn't have to that guy... he's the best. Well, if he's the ****ing best... then get in the ring and show it. Show it until you can't show it no more. You got that Calzaghe and Mayweather fans... stop saying he doesn't have to show it. What are you protecting the 0 for? It's so overrated. You'll feel much better about it when you let it go. You'll be able to enjoy their careers more and open real possibilities for greatness instead of the appearance of greatness.

Whoa slow down there tiger. Personally I feel Cotto will have a DAMN impressive resume and is on the fast track to the HOF when all is said and done. That being said I don't think Cotto has the opponents around his particular weight class to propel his resume past Floyd's. He hasn't even beaten a lineal champion yet. You must be talking to other fans because I for one believe Floyd should definitely face Cotto to prove doubters wrong. It will happen and his greatness will be furthered. Hell, if Cotto fairs well in the bout he may become an even bigger star because of it.
