Is Mayweather The New De La Hoya Frontrunner?

Rumors are running rampant all over the boxing industry over a possible rematch between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. For several weeks the two De La Hoya frontrunners were WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto and the recently beaten Ricky Hatton. Mayweather was also mentioned as a possibility, but he appeared to be a distant third option in comparison with the other two fighters. [details]

It's happening. There is no doubt in my mind. What a shame... I would take Mayweather/Cotto or Cotto/De La Hoya or De La Hoya/retirement... but not this fight... Not again. God Dammit.

This is pathetic. The best thing about this will be the press conferences. Keep the fight. Same result as last time.

I think it's going to happen. It's not going to make as much money as the first fight but it's still going to make a lot. I think DLH has a chance to do better but I don't see him winning.

The press conferences will be hilarious, with the "Goldie" scandal.

Floyd will come into the press conferences with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4gYiddFDSY playing as his entrance music of choice!

The fight is gonna suck though.

Why dont Oscar fight Cotto. I'm a Floyd fan but I dont want to see him fight Oscar again.(just keepin` it real) I would rather see Floyd vs Cotto anyways. **** Oscar, he needs to just stick to promoting.

We cool but Michael Beasley is better than Derrick Rose.
