To the contrary, floyd did not look or sound even close to confident when he got confronted by Margarito that time on the youtube video. and then the other when he said, we're not fighting to see who's the best.
but yeah as long as floyd is protected from Margarito and Cotto, he can talk his sh** and sound all confident, and suckers out there won't know the difference.

Yall have to understand that challengers are on the champions time not the other way around. When you want something another person has you have to hurry up and wait till they ready to give your shot. When you get that shot you better be ready for it and take advantage of it.
So far I have to admit that Cotto is doing what he is supposed to do and that is keep winning. Margarito lost so he has to go to the back of the line. Cotto has to just wait out the storm until he gets his chance.

Why do Mayweather fans want Cotto to fight someone else before he fights Floyd? Don't you guys want to see that fight? I think it'll be a great fight.
Now, I aslo think Cotto/Williams could be a very good fight too. But, here's the thing: Cotto fights Williams, Mayweather's going to go ahead and fight De La Hoya in May (Mayweather wins easily) and then Mayweather will go take his long break. We've lost the opportunity to see a legit fight between Cotto/Mayweather in 2008. Cotto has to stay available UNTIL Mayweather says... I'm taking De La Hoya again. Once he says that (Which he will) , you'll get the WIlliams/Cotto fight.

These posts about May and Cotto are getting loooooong and draaaaaawn out. I mean, Cotto ain't NEVER mention fighting Floyd when they both were at 40, anybody remember that? Young Miguel was too busy struggling and getting tagged by the rest of the Junior Welterweights. I believe that Cotto's promoter is a smart guy (and old and redundant). He KNEW that he could have made the fight at 40, when they both were under his promotional umbrella. Did that ever happen? Then as time went on, Floyd bought out his contract and moved on. As time kept going, NOW the relationship bt May and Arum ain't good, so NOW he makes Cotto call out Floyd? That is boxing promoting brilliance!
Let's look at history as I always tell people, Oscar was the same way with Arum. The relationship went VERY bad and Oscar started his OWN company and didn't deal with Top Rank. In addition, May knew that he wouldn't get a shot at Oscar since he was under Arum, so he had to venture out to make the fight happen. Now Floyd is kind of in the spot Oscar was in for years (not so much now), as far as working with Arum and Top Rank is concerned. But besides all those legal issues, Cotto wants Floyd, but Arum is about to put him in there with Gomez? WOW! I thought that Oscar was still looking for someone to fight. Why fight in April against a "Contender", when you can wait an extra month, just 30 days to get the cash cow and a BIGGGER fight with Mr. De la hoya himself!?!?!?!! You do the math.
Also, let's look even further in history. Ray Leonard was on top of the game and Thomas "HitMan" Hearns,(a good friend of my dad's, him and Ray) was knocking um ******! He rose up and became the WW champ of the world. They kept saying that Ray was ducking him. They kept trying to make the fight happen, but Ray was basically "retired" and he finally agreed to fight Hearns. Historically, this was probably the BIGGEST fight at WW ever, and the fight did not disappoint. Ray ended up stopping Hearns in a all-time great fight at welter. What I am saying is this? Cotto can keep talking about this and that, but how will he react when he is inside those ropes? Guess we ALL will see!
