    ANOTHER SHOWCASE BOUT FOR CHAVEZjr.

feb.9th chavezjr fights 2nd tier jose celaya.
whens he going to step it up?
chavezjr and amir khan keep playing the easyrider game.
evidently the casual boxing fans are satisfied with their hype.

They are both still very young and are being brought along at a sensible pace. However I do understand objections to having to watch JCC Jr learn on PPV.

He's just 21 and had no amateur career. He's learning the game the right way.

It sucks that he's on ppv, but it's a product of his own success and popularity. It seemed as if his next fight would be Gomez or Baldomir on HBO but when Arum saw the huge ppv numbers for the Sanchez fight (huge bc of 0 promotion) he decided to milk that some more. I guess it's good for Jr. but I hope this is the last one before he steps it up a bit, I think he's ready for guys like Gomez or Baldomir.

Very good points. I don't mind him taking the slow road on ESPN or Telefutura, but Arum as usual is bleeding the fans by milking JCC Jr's name. I'd even consider paying to see him fight Gomez, but in the meanwhile I hope these PPV's tank.

Time like this frustrate me to see some posters not know anything about an opponet, or down play a fighter.

Jose Celaya not to long ago was ranked inside the top 5 of IBF, i belive if not closer and was on his way to a title shot, he lost unfortunately but Celaya is a good fighter maybe not the best but this fight will most defently be a big test for Jr. and will be his toughest opponet.

Yjis guy is very overrated, wait until he takes on an elite opponent, watch had badly he gets beaten.
