Cotto can become one of the biggest stars in history. His fighting style is complete, he can do it all, box, brawl, slug, he is truly fearless and a class act in and out of the ring. he is universally beloved and respected. even mayweather respects him so much he will never fight him.

Imagine how big Cotto can be. His style is always exciting. Yeah he might lose like Duran but everyone loves a guy who fights like Cotto and acts like he does in and out of the ring. Pure class.

Mayweasther will never be revered for his character, everyone knows he is a super talent but he has been well managed and protected from risky fights, of ocurse by his own orders.

Cotto is the spirit of a true warrior, all that is great about the sport. Floyd is not. Cotto will one day be a massive superstar, floyd only rides the coattails of major stars, on his own people will not buy his fights against mismatched opposition. this is why he is in hiatus or going to MMA. he knows he can't ride anymore coattails.

Cotto is cool and all, a pretty decent fighter, but he hasn't fought nowhere the comp that Floyd has been fighting his whole career. He fought some pretty good names(2) last year and came out on top, but neither of them where at their best and both of those fights had some contorversial moments or decisions. So let's be real, Cotto can be a great fighter 1 day, but Floyd already is one!
