exactly. there is no point in Castillo fighting Witter or ANY of the champions at 140. Jose Luis got handled his last title fight and is on the downside of his career.

good idea with the Lamont Peterson/Castillo idea, wonder what Peterson's team thinks of it.

You mean when he was with the Kings? Vlade was young & use to really ball when he was with the Lakers.

Castillo looked slow and lathargic against Hatton, but he won't officially retire until he personally see's it within himself that his time is up. Too brave for his own good, but thats how tough guys are. Fight to the death, lol you gotta love that ****. Thats a trait that can only be applied to "certain" men.

From what I understand, Castillo needs the cash. The two weigh in disasters with Corrales cost him a lot of money. Seeing an aging warrior just fighting for the bucks is a sad old story in this sport.

He could rack up cash fightin lesser quality, but I think its obvious he wants Witter cause Hatton is nervous about fightin Witter. And Castillo is still probably heated over the Hatton loss.

Definantly, that would be a good fight. Would be a good step up for Ortiz, he needs to see some slightly more fast hands this time in his career so he can get the eye's for speed in his opponents, and so he'll know how to handle it.

Would have been nice to see Soto get a few fast handed fighters before steppin up to Guzman.

So Hatton ko's him, and he's already a stepping stone for guys like Pateerson and Ortiz, i doubt that. Castillo deserves more respect then this.

We're talkin about Witter vs Ortiz, not Castillo vs Ortiz.
