This is a horrible comparison. Camacho was MUCH more talented then Paulie.

Better footwork, faster hands, more power, better jab, better combinations, better ring generalship, better defense.

Paulie actually has some appalling defense. He is always getting hit, and leaves his chin hanging out in the air when he throws. He has an iron jaw so he gets away with it, but he isn't even close to being a Macho Camacho.

At best Paulie is a poor man's Camacho. Camacho kept distance really well and stayed out of harm's way alot. Didnt get hit much and kept you honest by keeping a jab in your face. He is naturally bigger than Paulie with more pop and just by watching him looks hard for anyone to beat in his prime. Paulie on the other hand isnt hard to hit, doesnt have the pop nor any intangibles to give a true impression of Camacho. He really is a contender who happens to have a belt right now. The top junior welters should beat him.

Ok, this is the only time I will clarify this, so pay attention so I don't have to repeat myself. NEVER, have I said that they are on the same level. I meant that Malignaggi has a similar style to Camacho, never equal. Malignaggi himself has said that Camacho is a big influence on his style. I posted an essay in which, just for fun and to practice essay writing, I mentioned the similarities and DIFFERENCES between them and I clearly stated that Malignaggi is nowhere near Camacho's HOF status. He still needs to prove himself.
