Why Am I the only one who thinks Maskaev beats Peter?

Im wondering why im the only one who think Maskaev beats Peter lol?

Maskaev has long fought with injury. And if he comes into the fight injury free he could repeat the Rahman heroics. If he stands toe to toe with peter, he could stop him.

As seen by Peter being knocked down 3 times by Mccline.

Peter sure was unimpressive in his last fight, but I still can't make a case for Oleg winning. He is old, inactive, has a weak chin, and has never beaten a rated heavyweight not named Hasim Rahman. Plus unlike McCline, he's not even bigger than Sam. Unless Peter has suddenly lost his ability to take a punch he should get the job done.

considering rahmans recent performances i would say the fact that it took oleg 12 rounds to dispose of him is an indictment of his skills

Before the McCline fight I gave Maskaev about a 20% shot. Now I give him a 40% shot, which is a fair chance of victory in my opinion. He is by no means written off as a no-hoper, although Peter is still the favourite.

He has a shot and will likely win a few rounds, but he's not favored to last the distance, in my opinion. He's a good opponent for Peter

He ain't pulling this one out.

Five years ago? Very likely, but not now.

I dont think his chin will hold up. And unlike Wladimir, he probably wont be able to keep Peter off of him enough..

Maybe Peter did something to your family and you HOPE he loses.

At 39, I don't see him having the stamina to last 12 rounds, where Peter's seems to be improving, and Oleg's chin isn't the greatest. If Wlad couldn't stop Peter over 12 rounds, I don't think Maskaev stands much of a chance.
