Will Roy Jones EVER be an Elite Fighter again??

    I pose this question.
After Roy lost 3 in a row and twice by brutal Ko's will he ever regain his elite status and beat any of the top fighters at LHW i.e Calzaghe , Dawson , Hopkins.....
My personal belief is he his done and his fight with Tito will prove absolutely NOTHING with regards to his position in his division.
Tito has never fought as a LHW and his best days which were at Welterweight are far far behind him , in fact he was last at his best in 2001.
I keep hearing on hear from RJJ's Nuthuggers like Ridiculous & Rob Jr how Roy Jones is going to make a comeback.
These guys are the type who think Tyson can regain the HW crown if he just gets the right trainer motivation (In reality he needs a time machine).
So is it me going mad or will Roy reign supreme again?

Roy kind of fights scared now after his 2 devastating KO losses.......He will never be the same.

He might have an elite fight or two, but I doubt he'll ever be an elite fighter again.

If he beats Tito, which I think he will, he could get an elite fight with the winner of Hopkins/Calzaghe, for example. But, that's about it. His "reign" is over.

He will beat Trinidad and fight Glen Johnson again and then retire... or fight another top guy again, ruin all that and get knocked out cold again.

5-1 that he won't right now in the poll.
I guess that means Ridiculous has voted seeing as he is still signed in.

no way. he is a shell of his former self. even on his best day he will never be better than 1/2 skill of his prime. once in a while i will watch an older fight and i forget how amazing he was in his prime. than i see the rerun of the hanshaw fight, and i am like. wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im a fan to be realistic.. Roy will never be close to what he wa sin his prime.. But when I think of the competition out there around his weight, there is alot of top names he can still beat... Far from his best indeed.. but can still cause some damage no doubt.. The man is an all time great and held a p4p title for 10 years.... anything is possible..

                  He won't be elite.

He is still a pretty damn good fighter though.

Dawson would kick his ass most likely, but there really aren't very many other names at 175 that would walk over him IMO.

                  FTW!
