I can't see Taylor or Pavlik winning a title at SMW?

With Taylor and Pavlik apparently both moving up to SMW after this fight, i really can't see them winning a title in the division.

    Current Belt Holders:

    - Calzaghe
    - Bute
    - Mundine

Its likely that Calzaghe won't fight in SMW again. And will have a couple of fights in LHW to finish his career. I think kessler will get one of Calzaghes vacant titles, as Joe C moves to LHW. Possibly Mundine or Bute claim another title.

But if Pavlik or Taylor end up fighting some current belt holders, i really don't think they would win. Take nothing away from them, they are absolutely dominant, top notch fighters and the bets middleweights around, but SMW is really really tough.

Begs another question. What do you think will happen with Calzaghes vacated titles? Who will fight for them? Who will win them? Please a few detailed responses, on a top division.

    Cheers guys Ult,

( i may well be wrong because Pavlik and Taylor are top fighters, but discussion is only healthy)

Pavlik is better than anybody at 168 right now & Taylor isnt far behind. Taylor split with Wright, beat Spinks, Oumaw, Joppy, & Hopkins twice. What did Kessler do? Lose to Joe.

well props for puttin yourself out there

i think pavlik ****s up mundine or bute at this point....

( i honestly believe kelly and jermain would be stronger at 168 than anyone currently fighting there, anybody who can deal with them physically would be giving away the skills and intangibles) save for calzaghe, who is way too smart to put himself in with pavlik, and would probably box taylor to a safe decision in a boring fight

if either matchup happens and you turn out right i will single you out for some good K

Its a big step up to super middleweight. And the fighters are a lot better. The competition is great. The top 4 are all oustanding fighters.

Pavlik ****s up Mundine? Maybe. But Mundine is really hard to tag, really hard, his defence is pretty much perfect. And his hand speed is great. If anything he doesn't back himself in exchanges. But i think both chances stand a good chance of getting knocked out. Kelly starts slight favourite, but i wouldn't be suprised if Mundine KO's him.

Kessler is a top fighter this is likely. But the contenders unlike other years pose a real threat to the top man.

LOL your from London. But as i have mentioned. Froch is the dark horse of the division mate. I still think hes a long way from Kessler, Bute, Mundine etc etc. But hes fighting Inkin who is a top 5 contender. So if he puts up a good showing i think he can be a genuine chance for taking a title.

                  Im interested though.

                  With Calzaghe vacating.

Who fights who for his vacant titles? Does anyone have any underground info?

when Calzaghe moves up I think Pavlik would mop the floor with the other SMWs.

If anyone honestly thinks Pavlik would'nt put Kessler in the hospital, I don't know what to tell you. Do you see the way Kessler fights in straight lines?

I like Kessler but his style vs Pavlik?... No way. He'd be eaten alive. Does anyone think he could survive those straight rights? Cmon. Taylor had the right idea IMO.

Pavlik also hits a lot harder than Kessler.

I could see a very early knockout in the fight.
